Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib, sometimes referred to as a baby bassinet is positioned next to your bed so that you are able to safely look after your baby during night feedings and nappy-changings without having to leave your bed. They also help in building independence as your little one gets more comfortable in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep with their infant while ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving your bed.

The side panel that slides out of the cot can be raised and lowered with just a pressing of a button. This makes it simple to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It comes with 11 height adjustments to fit nearly any mattress size, and adjustable folding feet that ensure it sits exactly at the correct level.

In terms of safety, the cot is padded and has mesh sides for better airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It is also wipeable and you can keep the cot clean. It comes with a fitted bed sheet that is suitable for a crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with all beds including divans. This is due to the straps and clips that connect to it. It can be used as a standalone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It is packed with amazing features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

bedside crib or cot  is important to remember that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months. You will need to buy a bigger crib. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent purchase. She liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such a cot. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom and believed its grey color would fit most modern homes. However, she did point that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby as it could set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It features a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your baby or get up It's perfect for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made from soft materials and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It is available in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that will blend with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure to ensure safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number if you experience any issues.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you'd expect from a crib to your bedside, such as the ability to attach it to your bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally, there is an incline feature that can be used to help infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It's also machine washable, a must with all the dribble and vomit that come with having a new baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're learning to sleep independently The CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table and toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't be able to magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. It does have numerous excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is simple to use even with one hand. It is also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with one push of a switch. This was a huge benefit during night time feeds because it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without disturbing them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended since it increases the likelihood that your child could get out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feedings.

Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It has a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to calm them after a meal. It's also incredibly large and has great ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's fairly mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's small enough to be able to fit into its travel bag when not in use, which is a plus in the event that you have to transport it. The only thing our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of an ideal bedside crib that can expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other models. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help reduce colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or comfort them at night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only drawback to the instructions was that some images were not captioned. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of top quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby for comfort and feeding without having to get up from their own bed. It's great for parents who don't want the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot or getting them out of it.

In our tests, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially beneficial in getting babies to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a major selling point for our tired moms who took part in our tests. Although it doesn't rock or have extra features, like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
